Chicken Curry Recipe

Chicken Curry is a traditional Indian dish cooked in a rich onion-tomato gravy with aromatic spices. This recipe is perfect for everyday meals and family gatherings. Using Roopak Chicken Curry Masala makes the curry flavorful, well-balanced, and easy to prepare at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (800 gms), skin removed and cut into 8 pieces
  • 5 medium onions (grated)
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 5 teaspoons Roopak Chicken Curry Masala
  • 1 cup water (for paste)
  • 2 cups tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups water (for cooking)

How to Make Chicken Curry?

First, clean the chicken properly, remove the skin, and cut it into eight pieces. Keep it aside.

Now knead the mixture properly until it becomes smooth and well combined. Cover the bowl and leave it aside for thirty minutes. This resting time helps the flavors blend nicely.

Heat four tablespoons of oil in a deep pan. Add the grated onions and fry them until they turn golden brown. This step gives the curry its deep flavor and rich color.

Now add two cups of tomato puree. Stir continuously and cook until oil starts separating from the masala. This shows the gravy is well cooked.

Add the chicken pieces and salt according to taste. Cook on high flame for five minutes so the chicken absorbs the masala properly.

Next, add two cups of water. Bring the curry to a boil, then cover and cook on low flame until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Serving Suggestion

Sprinkle Roopak Shahi Garam Masala on top for extra flavor, taste, and aroma. Serve hot with rice, naan, or paratha.

Final Tip

To enrich the taste and make the gravy creamy, add two tablespoons of cashewnut paste while cooking.
