Methi Paratha Recipe
Methi Paratha is a healthy and tasty Indian flatbread made with fenugreek flavor and aromatic spices. It is soft, nutritious, and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or travel meals. Using Roopak Methi Paratha Masala adds authentic taste and makes the parathas flavorful without extra effort.
Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat flour
- ½ cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 teaspoon Roopak Methi Paratha Masala
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Oil for cooking
How to Make Methi Paratha?
First, sieve the wheat flour and gram flour into a large bowl. Add one teaspoon of Roopak Methi Paratha Masala and mix well.
Now add half a cup of milk and two tablespoons of oil. Knead everything into a soft and smooth dough. This dough does not need any water. Once kneaded, cover the dough with a damp cloth and rest it for twenty minutes. This makes the parathas soft.
After resting, divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into small balls. Roll each ball into a round disc of about six inches diameter using a rolling pin.
Heat a tawa (flat pan) on medium flame. Place the rolled paratha on the hot tawa. Apply a little oil on both sides and cook until light golden-brown spots appear.
Flip and cook evenly from both sides until soft and cooked.
Serving Suggestion
Methi Paratha tastes best with fresh yoghurt, pickle, or butter. It can also be served with raita or chutney.
Travel Tip
These parathas remain soft for a long time and are ideal for long journeys.
